---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ............without Alex Kovacs, their injured goalie and co-captain, the mighty Samohi soccer warriors returned to the field of battle this Thursday night on the 6th day of March in the year 2008 to face the Champions from Banning. It was a magical night and, before a screaming, partisan crowd, the Samohi warriors flew like the wind, attacking the Banning goal with a relentless and brutal fury. The Samohi defense held strong, and with the valiant play of the substitute goalie, Michael Freedman, they stopped every Banning raid. By the end of the battle, the Samohi soccer warriors had once again emerged victorious, still undefeated, ready for their Final Epic Battle, against the challengers from Poway...........................
